She was predeceased by: her husband William Howard Mizell; her parents, Beuna Martin and Richard Bennett Martin; her siblings, James Martin, Ruth Scism, Mildred Martin, Inez Whitaker, Dorothy McDonald, Shirley McKee, Mabel Conder and Joanne Bridges; and her close friend Phyllis Price.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Betts, Rhonda Fields and Wendie Lewis (Kenny); her grandchildren, Timothy Betts, Farrah Steinberg (Jack), Gary Betts, Jr. (Pete), Justin Hardy, Daniel Brewer (Holly), Michael Lewis (Teresa), Rachel Betts and Bryan Betts; and her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Betts, CJ Betts, Ruthie Steinberg, Jack Steinberg, Emma Hardy, Hayden Hardy, Victoria Betts, Mason Lewis and Brandon Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
