She was predeceased by: her grandson Joseph; and her siblings, Viola Gant of Pauline McDaniel, J. D, Robert Guffey, Edgebert Guffey, Burley Guffey, Gordon Guffey, Cora Lee Hill and Carl Guffey.
She is survived by: her spouse George Apple; her children, Rick Apple of Greensboro and Janet Jackson of Greensboro; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Aaron, Nathan, Daniel and Anna. She is also survived by siblings, as well as her mother, and one of her sisters.
