As Margaret departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Margaret may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Margaret leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Clifford Earl Abernethy and Nora Estelle "Sunny" Frye Abernethy; her son Jim Truitt Jr.; and her brother John Clifford Abernethy. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Truitt; her daughter Liz Truitt Bishop (Ed Bishop) of Marietta, GA; her grandchildren, Angela Delp Truitt and Daniel Truitt of Kernersville; and her sister-in-law Marcia Felt Abernethy of Colfax.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Living Room of Friends Homes West (6100 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410).
