She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Lee and Robert Dawkins Jr.; and her brother Robert Gary Dawkins. She is survived by: her children, Danielle of Greensboro, NC and DJ; her daughter-in-law Traci of Milton, GA; her grandchildren, Grant and Reese; and her siblings, Tommy Lee Dawkins (Mary), Verna Sue McCluney (Larry), Brenda Ann Roseboro, Martha Marie Smith, Shirley Diana Hunt (Jerry), Roberta Grace Brown (Curtis) and George Anthony Dawkins (Kim). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home (909 E Market St, Greensboro, NC 27401). A prayer was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the United House (101 S Dudley St, Greensboro, NC 27401).
