She was predeceased by: her husband Mack Thornberry; her son Kenneth Pate; her parents, Oteria L Middleton and Julius Middleton; and her siblings, Benjamin Middleton, Julius Weldon Middleton, Nita Whittle and Hersey Blosser.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael and David Thornberry; and her sisters, Virginia Purgason, Sue Coltrane and Peggy Lineback. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
