He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Woodrow Alexander and Thelma Withers Alexander; and his sister Pat Alexander Anderson of Hickory, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Montgomery Alexander of Greensboro, NC; his daughter Mimi Alexander Joyce (Steve, Jr); his granddaughters, Liza of Greensboro, NC. and Nora Kate of Greensboro, NC.; his son Dr. J. Robert Alexander, Jr. (Tracie) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Robert Cole of Charleston, SC, Aidan Wells of Charleston, SC and Chloe Rose of Charleston, SC; and his sister Toni Alexander of Boston, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Abbotswood (3504 Flint St, Greensboro, NC 27405).
