He is survived by: his parents, Mary A. Stanback Hawkins and James Brantley Hawkins (Wanda); his children, Shayla Stanback and Zachary James; his siblings, Dana Stanback, Cara Byas (Fred), Tony Hawkins, Erick Stanback, Kimm Pleasants (Derek) and Shanon Stanback; his aunts, Frances Stanback and Hope Braithwaite; and his cousins, Courtland Green, Masika Braithwaite, Pamela Hawkins and Monica Hawkins. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (950 File St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
