James Phillips Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Phillips (Greensboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Garland Phillips; and his sisters, Patti Phillips Burton and Teresa Phillips Newton. He is survived by: his mother Peggy Phillips; his brothers, Butch (Linda) and Dennis Phillips; his nieces and nephews, Adam Burton (Tami), Ryan Burton (Ashley), Zeb Newton (Liz), Heather Hays (Bryan) and Samantha Phillips; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tristan Burton, Makenzie Burton, Clara-Ruth Newton, Esther-Rose Newton and Luna Hays. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and a large extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forbis & Dick Funeral Home (1118 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401).
