He was predeceased by: his parents, Denwood Thomas Tatum and Maggie Lee Payne; his siblings, Flossie, Irene, Mary, Ethel, Virginia and Ernest; and his daughter Deborah Tatum.
He is survived by: his daughter Derril Tatum Grant (Lorenzo) of New York; his granddaughters, Diamond and Jewel Tatum Ealey of Alabama; and his nieces, Cynthia Hairston (John) of Walnut Cove, Mary T. Walker (Tommie) of Greensboro, Brenda of Greensboro, Monica of Greensboro, Lisa of Greensboro and Ella Garner (Danny) of Tennessee. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Triad Cremation & Funeral Service Chapel (2110 Veasley St, Greensboro, NC 27407). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
