He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Lynnea Peterson Nisonger and George David Nisonger Sr.; his sister Doris Alsop; and his former wife Roslyn Hansen Nisonger. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nisonger; his brother Eric Nisonger; his children, Davlyn Armstrong, Eric Nisonger, Lynda Schnitzus, DaLynn Moore (Dan), Staci and Flowers; and his stepchildren, Fred Alton (Leslie), Jeff Alton (Michelle) and Georgia Butcher (Matthew). He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren plus the 13 step-grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren plus the 14 step-great-grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3719 Pinetop Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410).
