She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Amones and Olive South Amones; her son Douglas Smith, Jr.; her granddaughter Candice Nicole Walker; and her sister Ruth Doll.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Douglas Smith of Greensboro; her children, Jodi English (Chuck), Stephen Smith (Yanti) and Jeanne Walker (Earney); her brother John Amones; and her grandchildren, Holly Noel Walker and Gray Stephen Smith.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Guilford Memorial Park (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
