Evelyn Lewis Garner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Lewis Garner of Greensboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Evelyn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Evelyn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Lewis and Joyce Lewis; her husband Raymond Carl Garner; and her son-in-law James Sullivan. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Sullivan, Randy Garner and Michael Garner (Dawn). She is also survived by four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel Funeral Home (300 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (2230 Lees Chapel Rd, Greensboro, NC 27405). A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405).
