She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Groome Freemon and Edna Sparrow Freemon; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Helms, James Helms and Vickie Helms.
She is survived by: her brother Wally; her husbands, Jefferson Bivins Helms, Jr. and Jeff Helms; her children, Betsy McCall (Mike) of Hillsborough, CA, Kathy Stockton (Hill) of Winston-Salem, NC, Tricia Keiser (Kris) of Winston-Salem, NC and Jeff Helms (Margie) of Big Sky, MT.; her grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Abby, Thomas McCall, Katie, Richard, Elizabeth Stockton, Kristopher Keiser (Sarah), Mary-Freemon Sullivan (Willie), Sarah Keiser (Cameron Beaman), George and William Helms; her brother Wallace Freemon (Lou); and her siblings-in-law, Robert Helms (Victoria), Anita Helms and Ann Almond. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
