It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Russell Rankin of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lily Russell and James Russell; and her siblings, Ada Rankin Freeman, James Russell Jr., Nathaniel Russell and Rudolph "Mingo" Russell.

She is survived by: her daughter Dottie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
