We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 100, Doris (Dot) Lelia McKight (Greensboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Alexander (Tom) and Annie Evans McKnight; her siblings, Katharine Thompson (Bill), Tom McKnight (Margaret), Alice Kelley (Joe), Margaret Ross (Calvin) and Nancy Donnelly; and her niece Nancy McKnight Ammerman.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Arthur Donnelly; and her nieces and nephews, Lawrence Ross, Ann Holler (Pete), Mary Rhodes (Bill), Tom McKnight (Linda), Martha Powers (Ronnie), Rebecca Lowry (Bill), Bill Thompson (Janice), Alex Ross, Joe Thompson (Amy), Joe Kelley (Wendy) and Bob Thompson (Linda).
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church (803 Sixteenth St, Greensboro, NC 27405).
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made in her memory to Buffalo Presbyterian Church or the Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery Corporation.
