She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Randolph and Lyda Eva Skidmore Ellington. She is survived by: her children, Carol Ripley-Moffitt (Matthew), Bill Ripley of Durham, Ken Ripley (Jean) and Suzanne Ripley Weston (Jeff); her grandchildren, Anna Ripley-Moffitt Weiner (Adam), Rachel Ripley-Moffitt Gorman (Sean), Liz Sorrell, Josh Sorrell (Courtney Endres), Cameron Ripley (Adrian Beccera), Kenny Ripley (Kelly), Chris Ripley, Zachary Weston and Courtney Weston Trachtman (Ben); and her brother John Ellington (Pat). She is also survived by 12 great- grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (1000 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401).
