With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jackson Mann (Greensboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Harvey Mann; her parents, Avy Viola Fersguson and William Prentiss Jackson, Sr.; and her brothers, William Prentiss Jackson, Jr. and Joseph Melville Jackson.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Evelyn Aiken of Tyler; her daughter Barbara Patrice Newman; her sister N. C.; her daughter Melanie Renee Mann of Vincenza; her grandchildren, Jonathan Harold Newman (Anna Nicodemus Newman), Andrew Mattison Newman (Meghan McNamara Newman) and Hannah Briers Newman of Los Angeles, CA.; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Harold Newman, Daniel Frederick Newman, Ezra John Newman, Katie Grace Newman, Knox Downey Newman, Maryn Jackson Newman, Maeve Mattison Newman, Matilda Reese Newman and McKenzie Nance Newman; and also David Harold Newman.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (617 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery (2115 NC-119, Mebane, NC 27302).
