She was predeceased by: her parents, George Leroy Leath and Daisy Lee Miles Leath; and her siblings, Barry Leroy Leath and Phyliss Elaine Thomas. She is survived by: her son Barry Lee Nelson; her siblings, Elder Mark Nelson Leath (Nell) of Burlington, Sharon McBroom (Carl) of Green Level and Beverly Leath; her grandchildren, Dominique Rashad Daye of Burlington, Jonas Beonte Leath of Charlotte and Martia Shantelle Wiley of Raleigh; and her friend Brenda Jones. She is also survived by her fur baby "Smoke" and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
