He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kimber and Addie Maude Kimber; and his siblings, Francis Dillard, Jerrine Bigelow, Margaret Thaxton, Mildred Shaw, Russell Kimber, Clarence Kimber and Clifton Kimber.
He is survived by: his friend Doris Schomberg; his wife Evie McBroom Kimber; his daughter Dr. Darlene Taylor; his grandchildren, Mary, Justin, Skyler and Brad Parker; his brother Henry Kimber (Dora); and his sisters-in-law, Doris Kimber and Jean Miles. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
A wake was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Refuge Temple Church (152 N Main St, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church (8609 NC-119, Mebane, NC 27302).
