He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Henry Brandt, Jr. and Jean Austin Brandt; and his wife Diana "Elaine" Barker Brandt. He is survived by: his son Donn Brandt (Ashlie) of Mooresville; his stepsons, James Greer (Susan) of Jefferson and Jeff Greer (Penney) of Fuquay-Varina; his siblings, Jim Brandt (Maria) of Alabama and Gail Brandt of Lansing; and his grandchildren, Bryce, Taylor and Brooke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
