She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Heuser and Lena Heuser; her husband Ellsworth L. Bennett, Sr.; and her sisters, Joan Grice and Marlyn Heuser.
She is survived by: her children, Buddy, Libby, Patricia Bennett Stultz, Ellsworth Lincoln Bennett, Jr. (Pennie), Leonard Steven Bennett, Sr. (Laurie) and Elizabeth Bennett Letchworth; and her sisters, Norma Kay Powell and Billie Pollock. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested donations be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1423 S Glenburnie Rd, Suite A., New Bern, NC 28562.
