We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 89, Thelma Thornton Dixon of Grantsboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Mark Thornton; her husband Roy B. Dixon of Goose Creek; and her sisters, Gertrude Smith and Laura Mae Stanworth. She is survived by: her brother A. J. "Buddy" Thornton of Kinston; her daughters, Judy D. Jernigan and Martha Ann Harper; her son-in-law Clem; her grandsons, Chris Bailey (Frances), Eric Harper (Emily), Will Harper (Amber) and Reid Harper; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca Bailey, Casey Stilley, Diana, Davis and Tate Harper.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to the Palliative Care unit or any organization that supports them, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
