He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. White and Frances White; his wife Frances Gayle White; his son Thomas Hardin; and his grandson Josh Hines.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Gardner (Barry) of Raleigh, James Hardin (Tammy) of Greenville, NC, Roberta Caton (Tracy) of Grantsboro, Lisa Dilts of Durham and Frannie Westcott (Dusty) of Durham; his daughter-in-law Beth Hardin of Winston Salem, NC; and his brother Donald White (Phyllis) of Moorestown, TN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
