She is survived by: her husband Thomas Mattocks, Sr.; her children, Thomas Mattocks, Jr., Thelonius Mattocks, LaVern Mattocks and Virginia Ballard; her stepson Pastor Gernard Sawyer of New Bern, NC; and her siblings, Patrick Hatchel, James Hatchel, Jonathan Curtis, Glenda Willis of Vandemere, NC, Virginia of Maribel, Nellie Pearsall of Maribel, Reverend John Ann Sawyer of Maribel, Reverend Joanne Ragland of Henderson, NC, Loretta Sparrow, Alberta Haddock and Naomi Wilson. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
