He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Albert and Bernice Boyd; and his siblings, Jesse Reginald Boyd, Audrey B. Humphrey and Pauline B. Hines.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bell Boyd; his children, John Boyd (Deborah) and Lisa Boyd Holley (Michael Allen Boyd); his siblings, Albert Brown Boyd (Joy) and Sandra Boyd Hardison; and his grandchildren, Ashley Marie Armstrong, Mary Catherine Boyd, Amanda Paige Boyd and Lincoln Boyd Brown.
