He is survived by: his wife Michelle Gleaton Surratt; his daughter Tiffany Surratt of Hildebran; his siblings, Danny Middlebrooks (Marian) of Mountain View and Shelia Rhyne (Rick) of Banoak; and his stepchildren, Steven Shoun (Melissa) of Newton, Samantha Sealy-Michaels of Claremont and Dianna Brittain (Jason L' Esperance) of Lincolnton. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
