He is survived by: his wife Virginia Keller Davis; his children, Anthony Davis (Holly), Cynthia Wimberly and Elaine Kale (Nelson); his grandchildren, Christopher Kale (Catie), Martin Martinez, William Davis, Melinda Gordon (Jonathan) of Greensboro and Francis Wimberly; his great grandchildren, Zelina Kale, Zara Warren, Zoey, Zane Seaboc, Caden Kale, Claire Kale and Judah Gordon; and his brother Charles Davis of Norfolk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
