He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Ethel Vincent and George Sylvanus Hawn; his siblings, Carl, Mildred Hawn, Charlotte and William "Bunk" Wright; his in-laws, Margaret, Donald Sweet, Louise Benfield Letterman, Kenneth Benfield, Joanne, Dexter Pitman, Bobby Russel Conley, Leroy Conley, Reba and Thomas Miller; his niece Nina Hawn Kirby; and his nephew Robert "Shannon" Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sue Conley; his children, Myron Wayne Hawn and Peggy "Diane" Ledford; his grandchildren, Kelly, Matt Turner, Cory Ledford and Taylor Ledford; his great grandchild Riley Tippett; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie, Debbie Conley, Willie Conley, Russell and Mary Conley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Dry Ponds Baptist Church Cemetery (5235 Union Church Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
