He is survived by: his wife Heather Roark Ernest; his sons, Devon Moore (Lauren) of Hickory, Andrew Taylor of Hickory, Connor Taylor, Abby Raby of Granite Falls and Brock Gates of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Kalhan Taylor and Patton Moore; and his cousins, Mathew Hall of Hudson and Michelle Hall of Wilkesboro.
