He is survived by: his mother Christine Goble Burgin; his sons, Christopher Burgin of Columbia, SC and Chad Burgin of Granite Falls, NC; his sisters, Lisa Shaw of Rhodhiss, NC and Deborah Butler (Allison) of Conway, SC; his grandchildren, Amaris Burgin, Noah Burgin, Isaac Burgin, Zachary Burgin and Caleb Herman; and his nieces, Megan Stevens and Zoe Shaw.
