It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verdola Lena Coffey of Granite Falls, North Carolina, born in Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Coffey and Blanche Berry; and her children, Chico Coffey, Wayne Coffey, Jackie Coffey, Dewey Coffey and Ronnie Coffey.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda White (David Eller) of Granite Falls, Lena Iannacone (Tony Iannacone), N. C. and Michael Coffey of Granite Falls; and her daughter-in-law Doris Coffey of Granite Falls. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
