She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Monroe Calloway and Thelma Arnett Calloway; her husband Doyle Junior Townsend; her daughter Deborah Townsend; and her siblings, Bonnie Ruppard and Dennis Calloway.
She is survived by: her children, Darla Jenkins (Dwight) of Granite Falls, Steve Townsend (Ingrid) of Hudson, Rick Townsend of Lincolnton and Danny Townsend of Connelly Springs; and her siblings, Lois Yarber of Granite Falls and Bobby Joe Calloway (Sandy) of Granite Falls. She is also survived by eight grand children, eleven great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions as mandated by the state of North Carolina, the services and visitation will be limited to 45 or less.
