It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tom Harvey Barrier Jr. of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Tom Barrier, Sr.; and his siblings, Alvin Barrier, Pat Barrier, Wayne Barrier and Shirley Campbell.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Abernathy (David), Lora Compton (Doug), Tommy Barrier (Randa) and Michael Barrier (Jackie); his grandsons, Lucas Simmons, Adam Abernathy, Elijah Setzer and Isaiah Barrier; his siblings, Ruth Stamey, Sue Wiley, Linda Pennington and Vena Bennett; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Brown, Judy Holsclaw and Johnie Freeman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Tom's honor be made to Dudley Shoals Baptist Church or Trinity Village of Hickory.
