He is survived by: his parent Margie Burns Gilbert; his son Shea Gilbert; his brother Larry Gilbert (Sherry) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Madalyn Gilbert and Joseph Trivette; his nieces, Alyssa Gilbert, Kristin Townsend (Eyan) and Skye Gilbert; and his nephew Josh Gilbert (Dena).
