It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thurman W. Whisnant (Granite Falls, North Carolina), born in Red Bank, New Jersey, who passed away on February 8, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskine A. Whisnant and Johnnie Millsaps Whisnant; and his siblings, Vertis Whisnant, Gary A. Whisnant and Gwen Garrett Key.

He is survived by: his children, Channing Roman (Stephen) and Trevor-Jon Whisnant; his sister Verla Homesley (Gary); and his aunt Dortha Yearout.

As the hospital is completely donation based, all support is greatly appreciated to help serve other families.
