He is survived by: his wife Mary LuAnn Scholz; his children, Steven Leigh Scholz of Granite Falls, Diana Lynn Scholz of Davenport and John Luther Scholz (Amy) of Stevensville, Maryland; his grandchildren, Shirley Marie Davis, Bre Anna Sparks, Kayla Nicole Eisenhart, Chloe Elizabeth Sparks, Samantha Renee Eisenhart, Wesley Virgil Scholz, Cameron Dale Scholz and Alyssa Jade Scholz; his great grandchild Cayden Mikael Dheureux; and his brothers, Bruce Wayne Scholz and William Keith Jones.
