It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lingle of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Dwight Moretz; her husband Rev. Charles Robert Lingle; and her sisters, Louise Prestwood and Rosalee Canter. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Fisher (Doug) of Lenoir, Lisa Salyer of Granite Falls, Sherry Benfield (Jason) of Granite Falls and Charles Lingle, Jr. of Hickory; her grandchildren, Michael Chaffin of Jeff Chaffin, C. W, Matthew Salyer, Telisha Greene and Katie Valencia; and her brothers, Danie Icenhour of Hudson and Wallace Icenhour (Ann) of Lenoir. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
