It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Daryl McCullar of Granite Falls, North Carolina, born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Hugo McCullar and Iranell Smith McCullar; his wife Virginia Fowler McCullar; his daughter Darvia Whitfield; his stepdaughters, Denise Boyd (Mark) of Granite Falls and Melissa Blevins (Billy) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Corey Whitfield and Casey Whitfield; his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Poarch (Justin), Tyler Boyd and Austin Blevins; and his great grandchildren, Shyanne Poarch and Madelynn Poarch.
At this time, the family requests that everyone attending the service to wear a mask due to necessary precautions for COVID-19.
