It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Elvert Craig of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Alec and Gertrude Speagle Craig; his significant other Paralee Helton Craig; his niece Kendra Craig Miller; his sister-in-law Sandra Bumgarner Craig; and his brother Kenneth.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Shook (Jay); his stepdaughter April Moya (Carlos); his grandchildren, Ashley McLean, Dustin McLean and Hannah McLean; his great grandchildren, Gannon Smith, Haven Smith and Abel Smith; his brothers, Lee Craig (Carolyn) and Ross Craig (Ellen); his nephew Travis Craig (Kim); his uncle Tommy Craig; and his aunt Janet Lovins (RJ). He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that, in remembrance of the kindness Richard shared from his heart, you offer a kind deed for someone who needs uplifting, be it friend, loved one or stranger.
