She was predeceased by: her parents, Dick Townsend and Mary Bina Eggers Townsend; her husband Gordon Reese Helms; her brother Jack Townsend; and her great grandchild Virginia Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa H. Phillips (Eldridge) of Granite Falls and Stephanie Tramble (Andy) of Granite Falls; her grandsons, Cody Phillips and John Phillips; her great grandchildren, June Phillips and Beau Phillips; and her sister Martha Annas.
