With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Lee Starnes (Granite Falls, North Carolina), who passed away on March 11, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Pinkney Starnes and Beulah Mae Poovey Starnes; his wife Omega Compton Starnes; and his siblings, Clyde P. Starnes (Avis), Fred J. Starnes (Ruth), Samuel P. Starnes (Margaret) and Mary Starnes Bolick (Carl).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Starnes MacDougal (Paul) of Raleigh and Lee Oliver Starnes (Phyllis) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Christopher MacDougal (Samantha) of Charleston, SC, Megan MacDougal Jornigan (Justin) of Marion, Bethany Starnes Lingle (Derrick) of Granite Falls and Meleah Starnes Huffman (Joseph) of Hickory; and his sisters, Rachel Starnes Ritchie of Granite Falls and Nina Starnes Hill of Granite Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
