It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Neva Faye Poarch Broome of Granite Falls, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Poarch and Naomi Davidson Poarch; her former husbands, Ralph Lail and Howard Poindexter; her husband Frelon Broome; her granddaughter Patricia Brookshire; and her siblings, Sallie Pennell and Grady Poarch.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Lail of Bethlehem, Rita "Mickey" Edwards of Granite Falls, Geraldine Morrison of Granite Falls and Nancy Battistelli of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Stephanie Honeycutt, Paula Price (Darren), Andy Morrison (Charity), Joey Morrison (Amber), Carolyn Ray and Samantha Keller (William); and her sister Eva Mae Cloninger of Claremont. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
