With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merry Dean Story Cable (Granite Falls, North Carolina), who passed away on August 1, 2019 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Atwell Story Sr. and Willie Smith Story; her husband Steve Cable; and her daughter Angela Ree Cable. She is survived by: her sons, Dale Cable (Teresa) of Sawmills and Phillip Cable (Shannon) of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, RaeAnne and Masten Cable; her stepgranddaughters, Jennifer and Samantha Barger; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Bradley, Andrew Barger, Mason and Chloe Kidd; and her siblings, Cecil Story Jr. of Bryson City, NC, Cecile Gilbert (Allen) of Lenoir and Sherry Davis (Sam) of Lenoir.

The family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Blue Ridge Baptist Church, 1411 Barcose St SW, Lenoir, North Carolina 28645.
