We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2023, at the age of 83, Marvin Buchanan (Granite Falls, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cloephus Buchanan and Bertie Robinson Buchanan; his significant other Shirley McAllister Buchanan; and his siblings, Edison, Claude, Leland, Ray, Emory Buchanan, Elise Cassidy, Annie Dover and June Laws.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Austin (LD) of Hickory and Vickie Reeves (Alex) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Alexandra Elizabeth Reeves (Lexie) of Charlotte, Zachary Buchanan Reeves of Charlotte and Samuel Adrian Reeves of Raleigh; his siblings, Jack Buchanan (Doris) of Maryland, Vernon Buchanan (Angie) of Spruce Pine and Glenna Dellinger of Gastonia; his sister-in-law Elaine Dellinger (Charles) of Burnsville; and his pet Ranger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice or the ALS Foundation.
