He is survived by: his children, Santa Corpening of Lenoir, Juan Corpening of Lenoir, Tavannya "Tudy" Warren (Curtis) of Lenoir and Marsha Bowick (James) of Lenoir; his former wife Claudia Corpening of Lenoir; and his sisters, Sandra Corpening of Lenoir, Carol Corpening of Lenoir, Diane Pugh (Johnnie) of Wilkesboro, Charlotte Gibbs (Chris) of Wilkesboro, Kathy Harris of Wilkesboro and Susie Corpening of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
