It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Gean Hughes of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Edwards and Jean Chamblee Edwards; and her husband Carl F. Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Marianne McDonald (Brian) of Greensboro, NC and Chip Hughes (Angie) of Granite Falls, NC; and her grandchildren, Emma Mullins (Jake), Gretchen Hughes and Hayden Hughes.
