She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Edwards and Jean Chamblee Edwards; and her husband Carl F. Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Marianne McDonald (Brian) of Greensboro, NC and Chip Hughes (Angie) of Granite Falls, NC; and her grandchildren, Emma Mullins (Jake), Gretchen Hughes and Hayden Hughes.
