Lawrence David Blackburn Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence David Blackburn of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on June 20, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Blackburn and Elsie Porter Blackburn; his sisters, Ida Belle Bumgarner and Terry Blackburn; and his brother-in-law E. C. Pennell.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Butler Blackburn; his children, Heather Blackburn Matthews and Lonnie Christovan Blackburn (Brandy); his grandchildren, Jessica Matthews, Nikolas Chadwick and Lilly Stanislaw; his great grandchild Isaiah Milsap; and his sisters, Bonnie Pennell, Sandra Coffey (Charlie) and Linda Rabon (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Chapel Building Fund in David's name.
