He was predeceased by: his parents, James Orville Terrell, Sr. and Ollie Lucille Moose Terrell; his brothers, James Orville Terrell, Jr. and Fred Moose Terrell; and his sister-in-law Julia Terrell.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Laxton Terrell; his daughters, Joy Parker (Noah) of Lincolnton and Alison Reed (James) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Lauren Austin (Alex), Brooke Rich (Aaron), Gavin Reed (Monica) and Maggie Hamby; his great grandchildren, Ashley Rich, Aiden Rich and Olivia Austin; and his nieces and nephews, Angela Powell, Jessica Raby, Stephanie Hall, Doug Terrell and Stephen Terrell.
