He was predeceased by: his parent Mattie Wallace Carter; and his uncles, Johnny Wallace, Jack Wallace and Kivet Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Wallace; his children, Melody Dawn Wallace of Hickory, Alaina Nicole Wallace Herman (Matthew) of Hickory, Andrew Neal Smith of Raleigh and Justin Lee Smith (Heather) of Claremont; his grandchildren, Austin Lee Wallace, Ruby Ann Marie Smith and Bobby Lee Ray Smith; his sisters, Nancy Smith of Hickory and Pat Minish of Lincolnton; and also Cindy Patterson of Conover.
